Lewis is a student at Adelaide University whose research explores the topic of bibliographic metadata and its accessibility for Australian libraries. The aim is to collate data on how Australian libraries create or access their metadata and look for areas where the quality, accessibility, and affordability of this metadata can be improved.

This project will involve two stages of research, the first of which will be a questionnaire of libraries all across Australia. The second stage will include an opt-in interview that will allow participants to further express their opinions on the current standing of accessibility, affordability, and quality of metadata across the library space.
It is hoped that this research will be able to collate the different approaches to balancing the quality and accessibility of metadata to the price of the creation or acquisition of it, allowing for more effective methods to be shared across Australia’s library community.
The survey can be accessed here.
